486SX runs "newish" Linux?

That is my hope. I have a 100MHz 486 firewall in place. This system is
something the kids can start getting used to that is running Linux. And that
I won't be so afraid of problems since it is pieces rescued from the scrap
heap anyway. My seven year old can beat me at chess if I don't pay
attention. I want to give him something to get a feel for that can provide
more meat to his intellect as he wants it.

Besides, I can keep them off my computer this way!
