  Subject: broadcast storm?

Hello, I have a server running RedHat 7.0 and apache that I am using as a
web server, with a 3com 905 nic. 2 weeks ago it seems to have started
broadcsting so many packets that the network upon which it is located became
frozen. I rebooted and it worked fine untl now when t did the same thing.
Any idea how I can find out what is happening nd keep it from happening
again?

My theory is that the nic is bad, although I'm not really sure

I would go with that ... Had the samething on a Network training room that
had just been installed one of the nics actually lost all logic and started
to answer packets that were not destined for it ... and that was a 3com
3c90X ...

  Nige
  Charlie
