what to do with For Sale items

Simplest thing would be for the powers that be to create a "For Sale" mailman list those who are interested in buying used equipment could subscribe to.

Is there some sort of PHP script (or Perl or...) we could use on the 
plug.phoenix.az.us server which would permit us to list items for sale or 
give-away, and then send a daily digest?  Might be a lot easier and more 
effective than putting them individually in this list...
