In the unlikely event you care:
----------------------

+ SuSE (laptop), Red Hat, and NT4 ping each other !
+ Red Hat Samba daemons run
+ NT4 box sees Red Hat Box
+ NT4 box accesses files on Red Hat !
+ Red Hat sees NT4
+ Red Hat accesses files on NT4
- Red Hat prints to HPLJ-1100 on NT4 !
+ Red Hat prints to HPLJ-1100 on Red Hat
- NT4 prints to HPLJ-1100 on Red Hat

+ SuSE networks to NT4 !
- SuSE networks to Red Hat over Samba?
- Compile C++ 'Hello World' program on SuSE ! (Need to get to
work on Rio Salado C++ class)

- Repeat with little FreeBSD box.

---------------------

1/2 'complete'.

'+' marks complete items.

Critical items are suffixed with '!'

-----------------------

SuSE wouldn't mount shares on the Red Hat machine but RH mounted SuSE
shares. I probably need to triple check spelling then start checking for
permissions. (But note that NT4 reads and writes to both Linux boxes.)

I haven't made a serious effort at network access to the printer.

The "Hello World" project hasn't even been started.
