Hey all

OK, I recently signed up with www.linuxwebhost.com for web / email services.

Anyway, I've spent the last 3 days trying to figure out why I can't see my
web site yet. Here is what it turned out to be. My Web site
www.pointcircle.com translated to 65.108.131.232

I can ping this address. I can't traceroute it - it hung on my firewall.
Ah-ha a firewall issue..

# grep -n 65. rc.firewall.new
659: # Reserved-7 (65.0.0.0 - 95.255.255.255)
664: # 65.0.0.0 - 65.255.255.255
665:/sbin/ipchains -A input -j REJECT -i $EXTIF -s 65.0.0.0/8 -d $UNIVERSE
$LOGGING
1424: # Reserved-7 (65.0.0.0 - 95.255.255.255)
1429: # 65.0.0.0 - 65.255.255.255
1430:/sbin/ipchains -A output -j REJECT -i $EXTIF -s $UNIVERSE -d 65.0.0.0/8
$LOGGING

So this is blocked because it's reserved - But is it?

http://www.cert.org/tech_tips/whois_by_ipaddr.html
65.0.0.0 127.255.255.255 IANA-reserved

Looks like it's reserved not for the whole thing.. Can someone help me fix
this

obviously -s -d needs to be fixed. Can someone clue me in..

Thanks
