IBM is paying 200 people to work fulltime on Open Source. Might not seem
like much compared to 300,000 ( I think that was the number he listed )
employees overall, but 200 for a project, especially one that doesn't have
income, is pretty good.

They also have several service centers dedicated to commercial support for
Open Source. Speaking of which, they're hiring. Anybody want to do Open
Source in Germany?

They seem to definitely see Linux as a revenue stream for service. Their
service branch ( as a whole, not just Linux ) made $34 billion last year.
That's almost half of IBM's total $75 billion revenue.

Linux runs on all lines of IBM hardware. Knew about the s/390, but didn't
realize there was a port for AS400.
