2 linux boxen not talking

I found the problem.  It was a configuration error on my part.  I set the
GATEWAY variable to the network gateway instead of the system IP.  I did
this one a long while ago accidentally.

Also found something else intreresting in the mess.  We have a couple Compaq
proliant servers and I found out that you cant use a standard keyboard with
there servers.  I had to go find the keyboard with the compaq logo on it to
use it.  WHy would they force you to use a specific keyboard?

Also, I can ping both boxen from a win machine on the same network segment
with no problems.  I cant telnet from the win box to the 2 linux boxes.

Are they on the same network segment? Might it be that your netmask isn't
correct?
