\_ I concede that Emacs is damn powerful. I used it as my text editor (and \_ even my mail client) for a little while. But, for me, Emacs's power is \_ outweighed by vi's simplicity and ease-of-use. Ob vi jab: What, echo mode and beep mode? I also admit to having learned a Lisp deritave as my first major programming language, which would bias me towards emacs too. David
