Interesting MS Comments

t's time to realy wonder how loyal our big friends are like IBM, Compaq,
HP, Sun, etc.... We are still in the spot for many of these companies
that
if the quality of Linux is high enough they will push for the demand.
Even
if Linux is only as good as windows (technicaly and useably) These
companies
will begin to look at TCO over windows. The more things that Microsoft
uses to try to lock people into one microsoft solution, the more people
are
going to get mad when they find that there high end sun workstations
wont
network well with there w2k servers and that exchange wont work as
seemlessly
as evolution etc....

I am talking in the the futre tence here. I use linux because it is
good enough now
and has potitial to be far better in the future. where as windows may
be better
in some ways for what I do I just don't see the potitial of windows
going much
farther than it has already. Linux (or something based on linux or
other Open source)
WILL someday run the software world. Right now opensource is still
playing
catchup with closed source software.

just my $2.00 worth
