I have downloaded all the Mandrake rpm's for kde from the kde ftp site.
I downloaded them to a directory unto themselves and many are not rpm's I
have installed at present. I currently have installed,
kdeadmin 2.1.1-8mdk
kdebase 2.1.1-13mdk
kdegraphics 2.1.1-3mdk
kdemultimedia 2.1.1-5mdk
kdenetwork 2.1.1-2mdk
kdepim 2.1.1-3mdk
kdetoys 2.1.1-2mdk
kdeutils 2.1.1-4mdk
kvirc 2.1.0-4mdk
kdegames 2.1.1-2mdk

I noticed some of the rpm's I downloaded say "static" in the filename for
example "kdesdk-static-devel-2.2-1mdk.i586.rpm". Do I need to have these or
can I delete them and use the standard rpm "kdesdk-devel-2.2-1mdk.i586.rpm"
I read through the archives and came across roughly three different methods
of installing using rpm commands. Given my newbie status what would be least
painful?

TIA,
John W
