trouble with emu10k1 driver

Maybe I'm naïve in even recommending this, but do all users have
access to the sound devices? At the very least, make sure the permissions
for /dev/dsp* and /dev/mixer include read and write for whichever users
as appropriate. Or, to be selective, try "adduser <user> audio"
