Which Linux Distro?

Mandrake (latest is 8.0).  From what I've heard,
Mandrake is supposed to be the least scariest
Un*x for Windoze Weenies.

After he "cuts his teeth" on Mandrake, if it turns
out he likes Un*x, he may want to consider switching
to Debian (/Progeny) or FreeBSD.
