Well, the easy way to change the font used for form submits is to
simply edit it in Edit - Preferences - Appearance - Fonts - Fixed
Width Font

But that wouldnt be a global change.

So lemme back up my config and change it, then diff the file... OK ..
I grep'd the diff to display the old contents and trim the "<" with
the following pipe..

| grep "<" | cut -d " " -f 2-10000

The result is the following mess which will doubtless get munged by
email (with lines that snuck thru the diff trimmed out by me)..

user_pref("intl.font_spec_list",
"schumacher-clean-120-noscale-fixed-x-user-defined,schumacher-clean-120-noscale-prop-x-user-defined,nsPseudoFont-courier-100-noscale-fixed-UTF-8,nsPseudoFont-times-120-noscale-prop-UTF-8,isas-fangsong
ti-120-noscale-fixed-gb_2312-80,isas-fangsong
ti-120-noscale-prop-gb_2312-80,daewoo-gothic-0-noscale-fixed-ks_c_5601-1987,daewoo-gothic-0-noscale-prop-ks_c_5601-1987,misc-fixed-120-noscale-fixed-jis_x0201,misc-fixed-120-noscale-prop-jis_x0201,jis-fixed-120-noscale-fixed-jis_x0208-1983,jis-fixed-120-noscale-prop-jis_x0208-1983,misc-fixed-120-noscale-fixed-iso-8859-1,adobe-helvetica-120-noscale-prop-iso-8859-1,");

Somewhere I remember reading how to translate user prefs into the
defaults format, but I cant recall at the moment. Or you could look
for those fonts, and change them... but its the fixed fonts that are
used for forms, including email (unless you enable HTML composer)
