This is not necessarily true. CD sound, Waveform sound and MIDI sound all
have specific configuration parameters, since they are handled differently
by the sound card. Chances are one or more configuration parameters are
incorrect.

Have you run sndconfig?

Did you hear Linus?

Now when I attempt to play an mp3 file I get this message:

	"Couldn't Open Audio"

It also says what's below ->


         Please chek that:

        1) You have the correct output plugin selected

           ANSWER: I am using OSS Driver 0.9 (libOSS.so)

        2) No other programs is blocking the soundcard

           ANWER: Cannot tell how to do this


	3) Your sound card is configured properly

            ANSWER: I am able to play CD's, thus I'm thinking this is true.
