Netscape only works as root

Hi All,

Just installed a Linux system at home (Suse 6.4)

Installed the same setup on a box at work.

At home I have a problem with Netscape (4.72). While logged in as root, everything works fine. Where I first tested the modem connection. But after relogging as my regular user ID, netscape no longer functions. clicking the icon in KDE does nothing, and typing netscape at the console prompt returns BUS ERROR.

At work I do not have this problem.

Any suggestions? Not sure what I did or didnt do to make root the only ID that can use Netscape.
