PPP not dialing...

Do you know for sure if ppp support is compiled into the kernel, or installed
as a module?  You may need to try a graphical PPP client like KPPP (for KDE)
because it sets up all information which is passed to the pppd daemon.  It will
report any problems, and some solutions.
