I'm just lucky, I guess. :)  

Thanks for the site Kevin, i'll check it out, I'm sure I'll be able to
get something working.

I'll keep you guys updated, my plan is to eventually go completely Linux
on my laptop, but I need everything to work perfectly, because i'm going
to need my laptop for school, i'm using my desktop as a sort of test-bed
for programs, the best of which will come over to my Laptop for use.

How does Linux fare in terms of power usage compared to windoze?  I
would assume it doesn't suck up as much power, but i'm just curious.
