Firstly, I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to say hi.
Hi.

I tried to install via ftp, using the bootnet-20000407.img, and for some
reason it just froze or perhaps dropped the connection (cable modem) part of
the way through the install process. I was using ftp.nmt.edu. The cause
goes unanswered, but since I had earlier downloaded RedHat 6.2 to a hdd
partition I decided to boot using the boot-20000407.img which produced the
following:
                                Exception Occurred
Traceback (innermost last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda.real", line 342, in ?
intf.run(todo, test = test)
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/text.py", line 1165, in run
rc = apply (step[1](), step[2])
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/text.py", line 702, in __call__
if todo.doInstall ():
File "/tmp/updates/todo.py", line 1140, in doInstall
db = rpm.opendb(1, self,instPath)
rpm.error: cannot open

Now, I don't know what all this is saying, but this happens with or without
using the
"boot: linux upgrades" command and associated floppy.

Note about the download:
I downloaded ftp from the following point .../redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/ and
added other files and directories later.

Let me just show a little map of what's on my E: drive.
----i386 /* Files in this folder are listed below
        |
       doc   /* empty
        |
       dosutils  /* just rawrite.exe
        |       |
                ----autoboot     /* complete... 3 files
        |
        images /* just for the boot disks
        |
        misc    /* empty
        |
        RedHat /* completely downloaded w/ all subfolders

Files in the /i386 folder are
.buildlog
autorun
boot.cat
COPYING
IMAGE.DAT
IMAGE.IDX
ls-IR.gz
README
RELEASE-NOTES
RPM-GPG-KEY

The reason I've included the map is the concern that I'm missing a file.

Thanks for reading all of this.
