Looking for linux Guru

Hello I am looking for a linux guru who doesn't mind having a new buddy 
with them to feed off their knowledge.
I am looking for a friend to hang out with and learn from and maybe make 
the next idea into a reality. I was a developer with interactcommerce and 
did some PHP and MySQL work for them but was let go due to the project I 
was working on was thrashed.  Currently I am just teaching myself Perl and 
working on a project for a trucking company in El Paso, Texas.  My next 
project will be a DJ system that based on Ogg Vorbis.
