\_ LOL!  Dude, that "head/tail" thing just HAS to
\_ go into SOME kind of "Hall of Fame."  

Um, the "Hall of Shame"...notice the trailing filenames are all
foo.02?  Sheesh.  There's a reasons I don't copy and paste code
usually, and that's it.  :-)

\_ > head -200 infil | tail -100 > foo.02
\_ > head -300 infil | tail -100 > foo.02

I like my perl sol'n better still, tho.
