AzPHP and AZtechBiz.com

Just to post the information I announced at the meeting last night...

We are starting a PHP user's group.  Many people have expressed an
interest so far.  So if we can all get together it could be a very
active group.  We are making arrangements to meet at MCC if anyone has
any other connections let me know.  I don't know what room yet but I
will post it to the AzPHP list and on the AZtechBiz calendar as soon as
I have solid information.  The plan is to hold meetings on the fourth
tuesday of each month.  This month, August 22, the topic will be group
organization and goals and a basic intro to PHP.  The calendar page for

The company I work for has started a new site that should be of interest
to many PLUG members.  The site is AZtechBiz.com.  It is designed to be
a news site/portal for the tech industry.  Some of its features that are
will be of interest to PLUG members are:
  Arizona specific tech news and articles
	Ask a Tech Pro (designed for us techies)
	Forums (as technical or non-technical as the posts we make)
	SEARCHABLE archive of the PLUG list
	Calendar with over 150 upcoming events IN ARIZONA

We are always looking for people to be the "Tech Pro" who answers the
questions so if anyone is interested please contact me.  I am sure all
of you can answer questions that you didn't even know anyone wanted the
answer to.

All of the backend development done completely in Linux using PHP and
MySQL.  The servers are of course all also running our favorite
operating system.  A few of the modules of the site and supporting tools
are waiting for me to find the time to write documentation and package
up before being open sourced.
