Getting DSL configured using Linux,

I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I would be able to get =
my DSL working using Linux, I recently Installed Caldera Linux 2.3 on my =
system, I am new to Linux and have never used it until now my problem is =
I do not know where to begin to start to get my dsl working so I can =
access the internet using Linux, I tried contacting Caldera but they =
want to charge me $100 dollars and hr to help me out if you have any =
