I would be interested in learning about Postgre, the free database that
comes with Redhat LINUX 9.0. Though I have several years of database
experience, I have never used Postgre. Would like to know the basics like
how to implement it, create tables, indices, etc., especially how to use it
in C/C++ programs. Is there an embedded option so information from a
database record can be transferred directly to variables within a program?
Also, some basic tips on configuration would be great. Some basic bench
marks would also be wonderful. How big of a table can Postgre handle? If
there is someone who is an expert or well-versed in it and can give a class,
that would be great.
