I am wading into the waters of kernel compilation but I want to know where I am starting from. When I executed "make xconfig" I got the menus for making various option selections. Great. Are the selections shown to me at this point the current selections of the kernel I am currently running? (Red Hat 7.3, kernel 2.4.18) If not, where do I go to see what my running kernel's options were? Alan
