*Aaron Jones: Introduction To Cyber Reconnaissance*

*Description:* Introduction to Cyber Reconnaissance is a two-hour course
focused on providing learners with a gentle introduction to the tools
and techniques used to probe and locate targets for attack.
*
**Biography:* Aaron is an experienced Linux user with several years of
teaching experience. He works in the industry as a software developer
while also providing consultancy on cyber security related topics. His

*der.hans: SSH series: Introduction to SSH*

*Description:* SSH is the go to tool for sysadmins and developers to
make secure, encrypted, interactive connections to remote machines. It's
even secure across hostile networks, unless you accept keys without
verification (DON'T DO THAT!!!).

The introduction to SSH will describe what SSH is and the basics of how
it works. It will also cover verifying an SSH host key, making an SSH
connection and running a remote command.

*Biography:*
der.hans is a technology and entrepreneurial veteran. Roles have
included director of engineering, engineering manager, IS manager,
system administrator, community college instructor, developer and DBA.

In his free time, der.hans endeavors to help build community through
user group and conference leadership. He is chairman of the Phoenix
Linux User Group (PLUG), BoF organizer for the Southern California Linux
Expo (SCaLE) and founder of the Free Software Stammtisch.

He presents regularly at large community-led conferences (SCaLE, SeaGL,
LFNW) and many local groups.
