I hear lots of good things about System76. I have a nice light laptop from ZaReason. I'm quite happy with it as my primary laptop. I also have an aircraft carrier for times that I need to live on a laptop for an extended period. Not as powerful as Brian's helicarrier, but mine also doesn't have enough fans to levitate. I checked both ZaReason and System76 before posting and neither had a laptop that converts to tablet. The laptop is my 3rd ZaReason device in the last decade. I've been quite happy with their products and support. Not that I require much of the latter. ciao, der.hans > And I forgot to mention - the Alienware is NOT a convertible... > > -----Original Message----- > From: PLUG-discuss [mailto:plug-discuss-bounces@lists.phxlinux.org] On Behalf Of Ted Gould > Sent: Monday, September 25, 2017 11:59 AM > To: plug-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org > Subject: Re: seeking lapblet > > On 09/25/2017 01:21 PM, der.hans wrote: >> I don't see a way to buy it without the windows tax. It was the only tablet that I could find with an i7 in it, which I need. Everything else had the m3 or m5 which just isn't enough for what I use it for. > > Ted > > > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss -- # https://www.LuftHans.com https://www.PhxLinux.org # Freedom isn't everything, but without freedom you have nothing. - der.hans
