I use an actual chrome cast device here. It functions rather well for a cheap $69 wi-fi receiver. It has a power lead and an HDMI port. Not sure about Roku. I didn't much like the Roku as virtually everything offered via their service had a subscription fee attached. so, if you want a unit that can get whatever programming you want for $35 a month, get a chrome cast. -eric from the central offices of the Technomage Guild, Sales and referrals Dept. I read earlier today that effective Jan 1, 2018 Youtube was cutting all access from Amazon Fire devices which eliminates a device I already have. have they rolled out the Youtube TV app for Roku yet? Got one of those laying about as well. > > Steve > --------------------------------------------------- > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: > http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change your mail settings: http://lists.phxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
