There are lot's of paths that you can take through Windows to get the IP address of your client boxes but one way is to look at the control panels in 'classic view', double click 'Network Connections', double click the 'Local Connection' icon and then click the 'Support Tab' You will see whether your boxes require DHCP and what IP address they are on.
